Students who register for AP courses are required to take the AP examination administered in the spring.  Students are not permitted to drop an AP course once the school year has begun
 
Horizon Science Academy Advanced Placement Courses
 
These classes carry a 0.5 weight in the calculation of the grade point average.  They are designed and taught with the understanding that the students who are enrolled in the courses are prepared to take an examination on the subject in May, 2007.  (Many colleges give credit based on the results of AP Exams.  Consult the individual college for this information.)
