It was a little cold  last Saturday, perfect timing for holiday shopping. But if you set aside the ipods and toys, you were able to focus on larger goals. That is what our juniors did last on December 13th when they decided to spend their Saturday participating in our ACT Camp, s organized to help the students prepare for the upcoming ACT exam.
    Eight students (Edward Capps, Talitha Holley, Faith Henderson, Sterling Harris, Taylour Harris, Shannon McNatt, Daniela Radulescu and Junisha Threatt) joined teachers Mr Courtney and Mr Ramazan in this program filled with learning and fun. Mr Courtney who taught the English section of the program was able to share some words of encouragement to the students about doing their best on the exam. After Mr Ramazan's lecturing of Math, Mr Akbenli led a fun game of Game 24. The day would not be complete without breakfast and a special lunch for the kids and small gifts for each of them to take home.
    At this camp the environment was filled with learning and we hope that the kids can take this knowledge to do well on the ACT.
