HSA will offer a range of activities that will enrich student learning during the school day and after school. Because the safety of students is very important to us, specific rules will apply to these activities.
FIELD TRIPS
Field Trips offer exciting ways to learn. HSA students will have the opportunity to go on field trips at various times throughout the school year. For all field trips, students will be expected to follow these rules:
* Students must bring to school the Field Trip Permission Slip signed by parents or guardian by the specified date. No phone calls will be accepted as permission.
* Students must wear your school uniform unless otherwise specified.
* Students must abide by HSA codes of student conduct while on the field trip.
International Trips
* Due to the extensive amount of planning and teacher responsibility that these trips require, different regulations will apply and will be based on the judgement of the teachers.
AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
There is no better way for students to enrich their education than by taking parts in clubs and after-school activities or working with a teacher. These opportunities will allow students to explore more deeply things they already enjoy and to try other areas that may interest them. If students stay for an after-school activity, they will be expected to follow these rules:
* Students must be with a teacher or other staff member at all times.
* Students must arrange for their own transportation to arrive promptly at the end of the activity.
* Students must abide by the HSA code of student conduct while participating in the activity.
* Students may not stay after school to wait for another student.
* Students may not roam the hallways, and if they are caught roaming the hallways, they will be asked to leave.
A full list and description of after school clubs and activities will be posted after school starts, and students will have an opportunity to explore each one that interests them.
If students are not attending a school activity, they are required to leave the building, or they will be asked to enter a classroom. If there is any inappropriate behavior, parents will be called, and they will need to pick the student up immediately.
